Hot Dip Galvanization Introduction
Ground screw is widely used as foundation of PV solar system,fencing,house construction etc. Pole anchors, wood connectors are used to fasten objects.
Hot dip galvanization is to be performed to anti-rust and guarantee life of ground screw,post anchor. Hot dip galvanization includes below steps:
1. Remove pollutants from to-be-galvanized products;
2. Do pickling and then rinse with water, dry it;
3. Leaching and dry;
4. Hot dip galvanization;
5. Blow zinc;
6. Cool down the product and passivating;
7. Rinse the product;
8. Packaging,marking and storage;
Hot dip galvanization standard: ASTM A123/A123M-01
According to different steel thickness, galvanizing layer thickness differs:
When steel thickness >=6.4mm, galvanizing layer thickness average should be >=85um
when 4.8mm<=steel thickness<6.4mm, galvanizing layer thickness average should be>=70um
when 3.2mm<=steel thickness<4.8mm, galvanizing layer thickness average should be>=60um
when 1.6mm<=steel thickness<3.2mm, galvanizing layer thickness average should be>=50um
when steel thickness <1.6mm, galvanizing layer thickness average should be >=45um
Galvanizaing layer thickness is tested by magnetic thickness meter.
Test quality of galvanization:
Adhension test: no galvanizing layer peeling
Surface aspect test (visual inspection): uncovered spots area<0.5% with clean surface
Apart from hot dip galvanized steel screw pile, we invented new material- fibre ground screw.Without galvanization, fibre ground screw is formed directly from machine.
