What’s the Inspection Standard of Metal Stamping Parts

Basically, it’s the same to inspect metal stamping parts with other products. Firstly, there’s standard to check the metal stamping accessory, what can be used as standard ?

1. Drawings/ Inspection instruction: inspection could be performed by checking all kinds of dimension marked on drawings with products for some simple-made stamping parts. So for QC, on one hand, it’s fundamentally for them to know how to read drawings, on the other hand, it’s necessary to know how to use various kinds of measuring instrument, like tapelines,callipers, micrometer, gauge etc.
2. Specialized inspection instrument: according to metal stamping parts, specialized inspection tool is used, which is easy but need to well practiced .
3. Sample: for some complicated metal stamping parts, there’s no proper inspection tool nor the parts can hardly be expressed by two dimension drawings. So it’s need more patience and prudence to check the parts with samples.

What mentioned above is inspection standard, it’s OK for the primary inspector to perform. But to some points, it could not be well illustrated by drawings. Experience can help more at this time. E.g when we got one piece of metal stamping part, skilled worker can distinguish what’s the key point and where problem is likely to happen, why it happened and how to avoid it; what it will affect other processing, what it will influence the die, and how to adjust, and instruct the workers how to proceed.
