What is the thickness of screw pile ?
Usually it’s 2.8-3.5mm, also produce per requirement
Can post anchor be screwed into rock ?
Yes, ground screw can.
Is screw footings applicable in asphalt ground ?
Yes, but it needs to dig a hole where ground screw will be screwed, then to maintain the hole
What is the thickness of hot dip galvanized layer ?
Usually it’s 45-80μm
Can we install screw post anchor by ourselves ?
Yes, for screw post anchor, we will provide supporting equipment and installation instruction to customers; for ground screw, professional equipment will be needed
What's the length of helical pile to be left above the ground ?
Generally, the length above the ground will be left according to the customer’s requirement on height.
How to determine thickness of galvanized pipe shaft at different working sites ?
There is no direct relation between thickness of galvanized steel and working site. The purpose to galvanize the steel is to anti-corrosion, to prolong it’s working life. So it’s the quality of steel itself that really matters. As to processing, generally the bigger of galvanized shaft, the thicker of the galvanized layer.
What is the loading ability of screw pile ?
The Max loading ability will depend on the soil where the ground screw is installed. The bigger of density of the soil, the bigger of the loading ability will be.
What to do when come across rocks while piling ?
If the ground screw pile must be installed at a certain point with rock, there’s need to dig the soil. But this rarely happens. Because ground screw could be installed at other place.
Can ground screw be installed in existed building ?
Yes. But ,we suggest to install screw pile at the edge of existed building. If screw pile must be installed at the center, then there is need to build a passageway to allow ground screw be screwed in, e.g in timber yard, decking, pergola etc, customer need to remove some floor to install at a precise point.
In order to protect ground screw from frozen earth, is it necessary to add some protectives ?
No, freezing has no effect on galvanized steel screw pile. The principle of ground screw is to fix it in the ground with shaft, to ensure it will not remove as a whole.
How to prevent ground screw from falling if just fix with bolts instead of flange to install supporting system?
These will not happen if supporting system is well designed.
What’s the relation between shaft of ground screw and soil or surroundings? E.g whether to use bigger shaft in soft soil ?
No. Width of shaft is generally fixable. In soft soil, we suggest to use ground screw with big diameter in order to strengthen crosswise power.
