Welding Process and Welding Method
Welding is a key factor to the quality of steel post base, steel structural connectors and other metal welding parts.
Welding is a process to unite two pieces of steel or above together with welding material (welding rod or welding stick) under high temperature or high pressure. There’re different welding processes according to various welding methods. Welding process is used according to the material, grade, chemical content, welding structure and welding property of steel work pieces.
Firstly welding method should be decided, like arc welding, SAW, argon tungsten-arc welding, GMAW,etc. There’re various of welding methods, which are decided by the specific situation. After confirmation of welding method, welding process parameter should be specified. Take example of arc welding: grade of welding rod, diameter, current, voltage, layers of welding, inspection method etc should be specified.
Manual welding is a practical skill, it needs lots of practices thus to weld with high quality.
